Nightshift Software is an independent studio building AI agents that hold the shift - staying in role and working to the rules you wrote, whether or not you are there. Home of Rolegend, a solo tabletop Game Master, and Masquerade AI, agentic customer support.

## What this is

Nightshift Software builds consumer web applications, specialising in AI agents constrained by systems we author. Rolegend is an AI game master for solo D&D 5e, where dice are rolled by the server rather than produced by the model. Masquerade AI follows written process scripts, choosing between them and switching as a conversation changes. Both are subscription products, sold and delivered online.

### Rolegend

An AI Game Master for solo tabletop campaigns.

Status: Early access. Available at https://rolegend.com.

Rolegend runs a solo D&D 5e campaign with an AI at the head of the table. Build a character, write what you do in your own words, and it narrates the scene, plays the NPCs and drives combat. Dice are rolled by the server, and the campaign keeps its state between sessions.

### Masquerade AI

Support agents that follow your process, not their own.

Status: Coming soon. Not yet available. There is nothing to sign up for and no waiting list.

Masquerade AI answers customer conversations by following process scripts you write. Each script covers a situation - a refund, a delivery query, an escalation - and the agent picks the one that fits, works through it, and switches if the conversation turns. You change its behaviour by editing the script rather than rewriting a prompt.
